14 West is seeking an Email Production Specialist (HTML/CSS) who can manage day-to-day operations and email and print marketing campaigns for the 14 WesTech Renewals team. This is a technical role with the ideal candidate responsible for the coding, distribution, and execution of email and print communications for our businesses. We are looking for someone that is passionate about digital marketing and brings a results-oriented approach to their strategies. Coordinating closely across various functions and departments, this role will ensure the successful delivery of the organization’s message to the appropriate email segments, report on results and provide recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Create responsive emails using HTML/CSS.
  • Proactively collaborate with account and marketing managers to define the message and specs for the graphic design and web development elements in a project.
  • Develop code variations for A/B testing using HTML, CSS.
  • Perform quality assurance tests and ascertain the cause of a problem when a test is not performing as expected or adversely affecting other reporting.
  • Develop e-commerce sales funnels, promotional efforts, and emails for their millions of readers.
  • Seek out feedback from legal reviewers, account and marketing managers for content approval in a timely manner in order to allow for revisions and re-iterations.
  • Proactively seek ways to optimize the design and set-up process.
  • Create responsive print designs using HTML/CSS.

Qualifications

  • A strong grasp of HTML, CSS.
  • A beginner’s grasp of JavaScript.
  • Experience with SQL to willingness to learn.
  • Understanding of Mobile First Responsive design concepts.
  • Understanding of page speed optimization best practices.
  • A strong ability to troubleshoot functional and layout issues.
  • Self-driven attention to detail.
  • Naturally curious and not afraid to speak up, ask questions or suggest ideas.
  • Willingness to learn new systems.
  • Openness to re-prioritize and adapt workflow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with API integrations. 
  • Familiarity with marketing principles, such as web advertising, direct response marketing, and performance analysis.
  • Monitor delivery, inbox placement and mailing metrics on mailings.
