Money Map Press is seeking a Jr. Scrum Master to join their team. 


  • Defining Velocity: Organize hours/time spent on different kinds of work and per dev. and help give accurate estimates of scope for new projects.
  • Monitor the amount of time spent on proactive project creation vs. reactive bug fixes.
  • Help create strong lines of communication and reporting back to franchise leaders about progress.  
  • Help to work with ticket creators to improve description of priority and urgency.  
  • Help to shift priorities when unexpected deadlines come up to make sure the projects that are paused are the least vulnerable and are resumed afterwards.  
  • Help the team stay organized and accountable and refine who's working on what at all times.  We want the best devs doing what only they can do, as much as possible.
  • Acts as a buffer between the team and process overhead, so each team member can focus on the timely delivery of the project goals.
  • Assist with requirements gathering, documentation and the creation of business and technical solutions.
  • Lead and coach all Scrum ceremonies and continuing driving the adoption of Scrum core values across the organization.
  • Manage the release process by coordinating with developers, stakeholders, and QA to ensure a smooth process.
  • Schedule and facilitate ceremonies, daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo, retrospective, etc.
  • Work with Product Owners and Managers in Development and Operations to properly manage backlog refinement and sprint allocation.
  • Effectively inform Product Owner, stakeholders, and other interested parties of the scrum teams progress and activities.
  • Be an ambassador for organization on the adoption of PM platforms and tools such as JIRA.
  • Promoting development best-practices to the Delivery Team and the larger organization.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Communication, Engineering, or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certified SCRUM Master with 2+ years of SCRUM experience.
  • 2-4 years of Project Management experience preferably managing Kanban and Scrum teams.
  • Familiarity with Project Management best practices and disciplines.
  • Prior knowledge and familiarity with PM systems such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Prior experience implementing and utilizing Agile methodologies in direct support of technology programs.
  • CSM or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills are a must.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully drive technology adoption.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing SCRUM / PM fundamentals and optimizing their performance.
  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proven servant leadership experience in IT solution delivery.
  • Solid understanding and experience with web technologies.
  • Knowledge of Systems Development Lifecycle and the Project Management Lifecycle.
  • Business savviness and emotional intelligence.
  • A willingness to work in an environment that is focused on continuous improvement.
  • Understanding of basic fundamentals of iterative development as well as backlog tracking and task definition.
  • Ability to rapidly prioritize competing requirements.
  • Attention to detail, quick learner, have a positive attitude, ability to multi-task, self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with web development teams is a huge plus.
  • DevOps expertise and knowledge
  • Scaled Agile (SAFe) or similar exposure.
